Title: “CHROMATIC SANCTUARY”

Size: 30.375” W x 40” H

Story:
Elegant movements of the far spheres orbit gently throughout soft lilac and yellow. A magenta band opens clearly on the horizon, shaping fortune in the akimbo sky. Merging then lunging deeply beyond vivid electric notes, dust brightly my eyes, my chest, and beating heart, bearing the ends of all things, both ecstatic and suffering. A calm ritual which is at once perpetual. Fire, livid, seminal, beatific to the core. A silent cacophony.........a chromatic sanctuary.

Materials:
A late 1800s Tibetan coral & turquoise gau used to inter burial relics, with an 1800s Chinese embroidered tail with tassel from a childs boar hat, resting on a vintage Uzbek embroidered sash, adorned at top & bottom with a late 1800s south China Yunnan embroidered Miao minority purse in navy, resting on painted bamboo paper with a basket weave of contemporary and vintage hand-loomed silk Uzbek Ikat-Adras all overprinted and painted using a 16th century Pali wooden prayer book cover resting on acrylic painted wooden panel wrapped in hand dyed fuchsia & lilac silk with right panel wrapped in mid 1800s Tibetan yellow prayer shawl, accented with 4 late 1800s Tibetan silver Shamans beads, and 33 11th-17th century Chinese cash coins affixed with religious wax collected from holy temples and monasteries all resting on wooden panel.
